Middle Order Run Drought

The talking point of the recent tours of Sri Lankan Cricket team was the run drought of their middle order. For many years Sri Lanka faced a severe crisis of their middle order batsman failing to score runs. This even resulted on loosing matches and even tournaments.

But yesterday's match showed us the strength we got in our middle order. Well, we didn't have a perfect start. It was really a slow pitch. Sri Lankan guns Dilshan and Jayasuriya struggled to make bat on ball. The top order collapsed due to this and black caps had tightened the screws with excellent fielding and brilliant bowling. Vettori and McCullum slowed the run rate and Sri Lankans were in nowhere when they were 5/69. Then came the great 127 run partnership between Thilan Samaraweera and Anjelo Mathews in a very quick rate. Finally Samaraweera made his maiden ODI century and Mattews scoring a quick 50.

The specialty of this match was that middle order succeeded for the first time in many years. Sri Lankans searched for a good middle order pair. They finally got it at the right time. It will be a good sign ahead of the Champions Trophy.

Congratulations on the victory and hope you will continue the good work !!!!

Bing

Nowadays there are so many search engines such as Google , Ask.com, Yahoo! Search etc. But it is a big question whether the search engine gives us the result we need. All the search engines provide all the results which consists of that "search string" entered by the user. Sometimes the user have to browse another page to search for the result he wanted.
But don't we have a solution for this?

Today we have a solution , with the latest search engine "Bing" which was invented by Microsoft this year. This was originally launched on June 03, 2009. It is not just a search engine , it can make decisions according to the output. For the dull looking result , the Bing will display the result which is categorized into different sections. So it's easy to find the result.

So why not you try to browse something with Bing?

Is Nicholas Flamel still ALIVE?

You have heard about Nicholas Flamel in the film"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". The mission of Harry is to search for the
Sorcerer's Stone(Philosopher's Stone)
and protect it from Voldermort. They find a book from the library which says that Nicholas Flamel made the Sorcerer's Stone. But anyway who is "Nicholas Flamel"? Is he just a character?

The answer is NO.

Nicholas Flamel is a very famous and the greatest Alchemist of the world.

Born in 1330 in the town of Pontoise, France he spent his life doing practice on Alchemy. His wife Pernella also supported him for his work at the lab. As the time was going in months and years one day this alchemist started to construct a object which has the power of giving unlimited power to life. In simple words which gives an immortal life. He devoted years and years to build this. As Nicholas was in his 80's he built a tombstone for him. But suddenly he and his wife dissapeared in 1418. What happened to him? nobody knew ...But some thought he was dead..... In 1761 witnesses claim that they saw Flamel and his wife at an opera in Paris.

So what do you think about these things? Did he really invented the Sorcerer's Stone and got immortal?

Adding more than one marker in Google Map

As you all know , if we want to point a specific location in Google Map we use "Markers". Markers are specified in Google Map API but, in default it points only to one location.

But if we want to add more than one marker to a Google Map what shall we do?
This question got into my mind when I was doing my Internet Programming coursework in the First year.

I browsed for a solution but I found very advanced piece of coding and most of them not working.
Because of this I wrote a simple coding for this.

The simple modification is as follows:

center=new Array(2);
marker=new Array(2);
center[0]=new GLatLng(7.181194, 79.883806);
center[1]=new GLatLng(6.8219444444,79.8861111111);
for(i=0;i<2;i++)
{
map.setCenter(center[i], 13);
marker[i] = new GMarker(center[i], {draggable: false});
map.addOverlay(marker[i]);
}
